It feels really nice to post again. I've been pretty busy learning sterile tissue culture, cloning wild mushrooms for a research project from time to time, and now I'm taking some beginner's classes on DNA extraction. It's been an amazing journey. It's also wonderful to find the energy and motivation to finally get back to doing some artwork :-)
Since my ancient Wacom tablet is finally dead and only having a track pad on my laptop at the moment, I thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to just chill and do some pixel art: featuring Paul Stamets with Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi mushrooms) in various forms, the bees, and a dash of tribute to the Superbrothers Sword & Sworcery EP (a video game, lol).
Shout out to all wild and native bees, Paul, Steve Sheppard, and the FP and WSU research teams for their groundbreaking research to help save bees from Colony Collapse:
